One of our ADI’s was on his way to a test with a pupil and had paused at a roundabout waiting for a safe gap to join, when another driver ran into the back of their car, badly damaging the bumper; thankfully the car was still drivable!

The ADI and pupil were very shaken, but made the decision to continue and see if the car was acceptable on test – alas it wasn’t, but another Surepass ADI who was at the test-centre on a lesson, gallantly offered to swap cars if the ADI and pupil still wanted to take the test – which they did.
I would love to say he passed …but it worked out he was more affected by the bump than he realised and failed on one too many driving faults – but it just shows the caliber of a Surepass instructor
